Garrett Morgan: solving a problem he saw every day
Garrett Morgan was a businessman in Cleveland. After seeing a serious crash at an intersection, he designed a traffic signal with a warning position, so drivers had time to stop before the crossing traffic moved.
He received U.S. Patent 1,475,024 in 1923 and later sold the rights to General Electric. Earlier he had also patented a safety hood used to breathe in smoke-filled spaces.
The lesson: the best inventions often come from a problem you see again and again. Write down the exact moment something fails, who it hurts, and what a fix must do. Then describe that to the AI studio as your starting specs.
